Currently I am a shift manager at a small pizza chain restaurant. I would rather be cooking at a family dine-in restaurant, such as : Carrabba's, Longhorn, Ruby Tuesday's, or Smokey Bones.
What education or skill level does this type of establishment require?What do most family restaurants require for a cook position?
A good culinary school is great, but i think those places need people that are just cooks and not chefs. Knowing how to order and how much. You need to know how to cook in large quantities cook under a lot of pressure and be calm when things get he tic and really know how to cook.
