Perfect makeup to go with a high bun?

I'm doing a vid for youtube for the perfect eye makeup to go with a high bun, I want something that draws attention to your eyes and your cheeks really.

I was thinking a heavyish smokey eye (black or brown) and a contured cheek with a bit of blush on the cheek bone, what do you think?
