Use:

1)Heavy internet surfing/browsing.

2)Light gaming. Nothing crazy(But a must)

go with the dell it will handle eveything you listed you needed it for alienware are mainly gameing computers anyway
I bought my husband a 1505 and it is bulky however its what he wanted. I own a XPS and mine does everything his does but mine is lighter. So its up to you whether or not you want a bulky machine to tote around. Dell is a good choice though, i send more gateways back than dells.Pro Comp Techs, READ INSIDE. Expert Opinion please.?
man u are huntin misquitoes with a shot gun thoose are some heavy machines for just surfin and music toshibas are good and dells are great for the service they provide

As a "fixer" of many laptops I would go DELL and get the best warranty you can afford. once you get it...Remove all unneeded software.
