You should try the following:

Download the Windows Vista drivers for the Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000. Make sure you download the right Vista drivers(32/64 bit editions).

You need the 32-bit version of the driver if your computer hasn't got more than 3GB of RAM.

You need the 64-bit version of the driver if your computer has got more than 3 - 3.3 - 3.5GB of RAM.

Make sure you right click on ' My Computer ' -%26gt; Properties.

In the ' System Properties ' window, check the Windows version by looking at what it says in the System section. If it says: Windows Seven Ultimate 64-bit , you're running the 64-bit edition of W7 so you'll need the 64-bit edition of the Logitech driver. Otherwise, you're running the 32-bit edition of Windows Se7en.

After downloading the driver, disconnect the Webcam from your computer and install the drivers.

Now you can connect the camera to the computer (to a different USB port, not to the same it was connected to before, and if Windows asks you for drivers, let it search on the Internet.

After you allow Windows Update to Search for a Driver it should find the update to the Vista driver and make the driver compatible with W7.I have a logitech "quickcam pro 4000" and just bought a new comp with windows 7 . Now my webcam will not work!?

You just need to download the W7 driver from the Logitech website, under Support, Webcams.
Try looking for drivers on logitech's website.
