My mma coach wants me to fight pro before fighting amatuer?

Is this okay that he wants to send me to a pro mma comp when i have never fully fought before?My mma coach wants me to fight pro before fighting amatuer?
No biggie Jeff. He probably wants you to fight pro because of the lack of good mma amateur promotions. When I fought mma I went straight to pro, and did well. If you doubt yourself then don't be a fighter.
There could be several reasons he may want you to skip amateur...Do you come from a solid wrestling or other combat sports background? Chances are,you probably show a lot of talent. One thing I am always suspect about as a fighter are the trainers that are just looking to make money off of their fighters. In that case, going pro is not for your own good but for someone else's. I think that unless amateur fighting is illegal in your region, then almost everyone should start with some warm up smokers or amateur fights. If anything, at least, to just become accustomed to the business of the sport, which is very nasty and something you should not be naive towards. Most importantly, you should be the one who wants to fight not your trainer or anyone else.My mma coach wants me to fight pro before fighting amatuer?
The last decision is not up to him, it's up to you but maybe your Instructor has some solid reasons why he want you to do so, with that matter better you ask him so that your main concern will ease for a while.



If you think you are totally ready and willing to do it, then be with it and let those experience learn you, because as a fighter there are so many reasons you must consider.
