I have Win Xp pro on my comp,. can i install Win 2k pro on my comp..?
I hav Win Xp in C drive.. can i install Win 2k pro in D drive.. C and D are partitions of same HDD...I have Win Xp pro on my comp,. can i install Win 2k pro on my comp..?

Windows 2k was lame compared with Windows XP PRO.
If it's old software you're trying to run, check out a program called DOSBOX (you should be able to find it online and read more about it there....it's free).

Iv just re-installed my win xp pro,my comp was ill.i cant d/load java an my comp says it needs t be modified??
Ive tried several times to download java environment from microsofts web site as well as others each time its halfway throu d/loading it says installation could not complete i dont know why, sometimes a msg bos will appear telling me my computer needs to be modified? has anyone got any clues as to what this means and how its done, ive re-installed in the past and not had trouble installing java or anything else, but now its a painkiller..please help.Iv just re-installed my win xp pro,my comp was ill.i cant d/load java an my comp says it needs t be modified??

Need help with unknown password for new comp from flea market, it has win xp pro, and i have no copy of win xp

IF it's a desktop try removing the backup battery from the Mother Board, plugging the computer back in without the battery, and booting it up. This has worked for me in the past. If the computer has the sticker certificate of authenticity on it borrow a copy of Windows XP from someone and re-install it using the key on the sticker. This is perfectly legal since you are using the license on the computer and not someone else's.
If you cannot do this then try the following:
1. When you get to the login screen hit Ctrl-Alt-Del twice
2. It should give you a username and password prompt
3. use administrator for username
4. For password try leaving it blank or try "password" (without the quotes) or try other simple passwords.

select "safe mode" and then press enter twice. the computer should start.
Choose administrator as the user (most computer don't have a password in there)

now select the user you want to change the password and type "net user (name of the user) then the password you want" lets say you want to change the administrator you would put "net user administrator (password here)" then press enter.
it should say "The command was completed successfully"
re-start computer and select user you have just change the password it should let you in. hope i could help =P

Why my cpu gives me electric shock? any comp pro need your help.?
i jus take back my computer from the shop yesterday.. after i start my cimputer i accidently placed my hand nearby my cpu ...oh my god..it gives ver ver strong electric shock..thank god im stil alive..but in purpos of testing and accident i already got electric shock for 4 times..by now..now i pate some making tape on the surface of the cpu..there must be some leakage ..but i duno how to stop it..now what im worryin is will this electric shock will effect the graphic card or whatever inside the cpu?? becauze i test using testpen the leakage is all over the cpu..Why my cpu gives me electric shock? any comp pro need your help.?
First check the ground connection in your home , I think your getting shock because of discontinuity in grounding wire with the earthing connection.By the same time a live wire is connected to the ground wire or metal part of the CPU..
In CPU AC voltage part is only SMPS, so v can assume that this is the ill affected part, please check the connections there and check for any discontinuity of ground wire or other miscontact of live wire with the metal body of CPU.

anyone wanna program this:
im a beginner Q Basic person, and all i know in it is the basic , Basic strings, and basic looping
so some one want to program this one easily! or tell me a few guiding steps to do it. or just how to start it.
"a list of numbers is to be typed at the Keyboard. after each number is typed, the program should cause two values to be displayed: a count of how many numbers have been typed and the average of all numbers entered to that time. the program should halt when the user types 0.

2. since you didn't say the number of loops so it is an infinite loop, so use While, until a condition arise which is Flg not 0, like Flg is set to 1
3. use INPUT to get number from user and store it in n
4. increase count by 1 in each loop
5. use an IF statement to see if n is 0 if yes, Flg = 1 i.e. get out of loop and end
6. if no, n is not 0, add n to tot, and divide tot by count to get average, print out the 2 number tot and avg
